Capitec Bank
NO statements even when requested

Business & Finance

I requested my loan settlement in June 2013 and was given an amount, when I enquired about the settlement amount in October 2013 the amount only changed with a few rand. Yet my loan should be settled soon.
I then requested the call centre to send me an statement.
No statement, so I STOPED my debit order as they are quick to take money from my bank account at any time of the month.
Now after nearly a month I am receiving weekly calls as they want payment and I want a statement. I am told to go to the closest branch. WHY?
If your computer's are set to check and pick up when money is paid into my personal bank account then surely your system should be able to download a statement and e mail it to your customers.
Is that not my right as consumer?
Why is it OK to expect the customer to drive to the branch (by the way more than 50km from my home) and to spend hours standing in line?
All I ask is a statement, then you will receive the payment due and if I agree with the amounts the account will be settled. If I don't receive the statement NO payment will be made. AND I am willing to take this matter to court.
