I would like to lodge a complaint; African Bank debited my account without my consent. I only get paid on the 25th of every month and if the 25th falls on a weekend I get my money on the 24th. When I phone the head office they asked me to send then a statement showing that it went off my account. I sent the statement showing that the money that they debited was my sisters money for Christmas clothes and now they are telling me that they will not refund it as my account is in arrears, my point is that I have not get paid yet and that is not my money and they can't debit my account as they please, the agreed date is the 25th of every month. They told me if I can prove that the money they debited was not mine then they will refund, I sent them the statement showing the money deposited. They cannot do as they please on my account. The supervisor that I spoke with was very rude to me, that is not how to speak to clients. They cannot do as they please in my account without my consent. The sms that they claim to have sent I never received. Please treat it as urgent as I cannot explain that from a 10 year old how her money got lost in my account.
