Capitec listing me for prescribed debt, harrassment

I had a capitec loan in 2007/8. The debt has legally been prescribed. Capitec has never contacted me tillvrecently, when debt collectors started harassing me at work and home. They told me I'm blacklisted for this prescribed debt, this is defamation of character! I hereby claim that previous old debt to be prescribed and ask Capitec to acknowledge this ans rectify the situation please.
