FNB does not want to assist

My wife and I recently applied for a homeloan through FNB as I am a platinum holder, my wife banks with Standard Bank and I forced her to do an application with FNB.I was called this morning stating that the application was decllined due to an old accound my wife is paying and the balance is very low, I need this loan desperately and I was disgusted that my bank does not want to assist eventhough I want to settle this account in full and this is the only account she has. The bond repayments were to come of my account and I have a good credit record also I asked the consultant how we could get the bond even if I have to pay a deposit but she doesn't want to help, I feel betrayed by my bank, guess how can we help you means nothing to FNB!
