No feedback - ABSA R255 000

9 Oct 2013, R 255 000 was taken from my bank acc. Money transferred from bond acc to cheque & then to a Capitec acc. Someone inside the bank knew there was money in my bond acc & what my cell number was. No phishing of any kind took place. I live/work overseas & only access my accounts through my VPN. Since the incident I have received NO FEEDBACK from anyone. When I enquire in get "We are investigating". Not the way you want to treat a Private bank client. I reported it to the SAPS & they indicated that they are investigating & early indications are that ABSA employees are working with foreign syndicates. I need the money. In the event that ABSA knows that phishing and sim swaps happen, as they state on the website why do they not do something about it? In Europe you have a FOB with 6 digits that you insert into the website linked to your password & acc. If a client loose a FOB & gets hacked, banks still pay out. ABSA no, although they know their security is inferior-they splash that on their website. SMS & FOB can work in tandem. ABSA you disappoint me & I am sure other clients out there that feel the same. POOR SHOW PEOPLE. Wrote a letter to Ramos. No reply-Great!
