Why can't you tell me why I have been charged?

There is a peculiar looking transaction on my account and I called the call center to find out. Its a charge from ABSA. So I thought if I call the call center they can tell me why I have been charged. But they say no, they can't tell me why? So I can't find out why I have been charged? are you kidding me?
