Ever since I've replaced my debit and credit cards with the new chip cards, my account takes 2-3 days to update transactions. So now it's pretty much pointless for me to have internet banking because my account is never a true reflection of what is actually going on. I can't even see pending transactions. So now I have to sit with my sms notifications every day, and work out myself (1920's style) what's going on in my account. That's not to mention the several calls I receive every week from Absa asking me to send proof of insurance for a vehicle I no longer even have! Why on earth is this not updated on your system? Or do your call centre staff enjoy having people being rude to them? I honestly don't see how Absa can even possibly hope
to compete with other leading banks if they continue to work backwards like this. I have yet to meet a single Absa client that is happy with Absa, either because the service is terrible, their attempts at innovation only makes it more difficult for the average user, and most definitely, that Absa has the most expensive banking charges and poorest interest rates.
