Absa sells personal information without consent

My wife has a property bonded with Absa. Ever since we have opened the bond we have received offers from seven or eight different retail stores with pre-approved store cards attached to the letter.
All we have to do is call up and activate the card.
We know that the source comes from Absa as they have misspelt our address on the bond statement, all of the unsolicited offers come with the same misspelling
We have never authorised Absa to provide this information and should not have to go through this harassment of phoning the call centre and cancelling the application.
I thought that you could not sell the information without consent!!!
PLEASE MAKE THIS STOP!!!
