First National Bank
Not so innovative

Business & Finance

I recently asked FNB for a small increase in the limit on my credit card. They asked me to send them an IRP5. I sent the IRP5. They then contacted me and said that they didn't actually accept IRP5's, and asked me to send some other documentation. As a point of principle, I refused. Surely they need to get their act together, and decide what they require before asking for it. They then called me again and told me that they had rejected my application for a small increase, despite my absolutely spotless credit record over the past 30 years. And despite me having supplied exactly what they asked for. Looks like I'll be moving back to my trusty ABSA credit card. FNB don't seem to be as innovative or as efficient as their marketing campaigns make them out to be. I recommend sticking with the more established banks.
