Ripping off clients after settlement

I've dealt with Wesbank for almost all vehicle finance to date. With all but 1 of my 6 vehicles I've financed to date.
Throughout the time frame I've had various niggles & issues with their billing & fee calculation issues, I put it down to my misunderstanding or the additional fees being too low to warrant the time & effort to get it back. Bearing in mind, whenever there were billing errors on my account it took numerous phone calls, emails & heated debates to get resolved.
My current & last account with them is what led me to write this. I phoned to get a settlement value. Then promptly paid it believing the account to be final. I get a statement 4 weeks later with an overdue amount of R1.10 Duly added was a R57 NCA fee for collection. Wesbank refuses to honour the settlement & simply states that the NCA fee is compulsory.
I'm left feeling powerless against a bank with far more legal clout & redtape than little old me could ever muster. This is. I'm being black mailed into paying an institution that I do not have the resources to fight. I can only imagine how many other customers this happens to. Be weary & if at all possible take your business elsewhere
