Betty impressed me from the first day I was helped by her. She is friendly, patient, and always does just that little extra thing to make me as a customer feel that she cares about the people she deals with during her working day. Just that little "Is there anything else you would like? " and getting a phone call from her when my new cheque book arrived - these are the kinds of things that make banking a pleasure, not something that I usually put off until the last possible minute because of the often long queues and the stressed staff one has to deal with. Betty's work should be filmed and shown to trainees so they can see what it is that makes a customer feel that she or he is being seen as a human being and not treated as a nuisance, which can so often be the case.
