SA Warranties
Double charging Pro-rata

I bought a service plan with my car at the dealer in 2012, the service plan was for 3 years or 60000 km. Early this year Liquid capital contacted me and sold me an extension for a further 2 years or 45000 km. All the policies are with SA Warranties and for some reason they decided to make the second policy active in March this year when the current policy is still running.
Now I have sold the car and I want a refund for the policies and SA Warranties wants to charge me a pro rata for both policies like they were independent and running at the same time. Common sense should tell you that the pro-rata only applies to the policy running at the time as there is no exposure on the other dormant policy. Trying to explain that to Thandeka she sends me on a wild goose chase to Liquid capital because they sold me the policy.
Why should I be the one to run around from company to company when they obviously work together? If push comes to shove they have the tapes of when the contract was sold to me. It seems these insurance companies are in it together to try and frustrate customers when they want to claim
