How long must I wait for my claim to be resolved?

My car was written off on 4 September 2013. It is now 7 November 2013 and my claim still has not been resolved by Prime Meridian Direct (Thrift plan). They promised that the claim would be completely resolved within 30 days. It is now 44 working days since the claim and still nothing has happened.
They let me know that my claim will be reviewed on 18 November 2013 - a whopping 51 working days after the claim was submitted.
This is pathetic and ridiculous.
