FNB Home Loan Woes

My bond is in arrears for the past 5 months as my wife was retrenched last year march 2012.Despite liasing with them they refuse to recapitalize my bond or make a special arrangement for me to pay the arrears of in 12 months. According to FNB we owe R40 000 but from our calculation the arrears amounts to 20850 (Repayment of 4170 monthly). We did request for a full breakdown to be emailed to us but we did not receive any email. FNB demanded 75% of the arrears of R40 000 a month ago which as per them worked out to R29300 & then last week they advised we can pay 50% of the total which is R19600 in 1 lump sum.we however do not have this amount to pay in 1 lump sum.we have till midday today to prevent the auction being advertised in the paper.we would greatly appreciate a compromise on the part of FNB to try & resolve this matter in the best way possible.
