Upon reconciling my bank statement, I noticed my insurance premium went up without me being notified. I sent an e-mail straight away to the insurers, but they tried to send me from pillar to post. I sent an e-mail to Stephen Williams, MD of B-Sure Africa.
Upon receiving my mail, he got one of his doormats to phone me back with some lame excuse that it was Quicksure who increased the premium without B-Sure (the brokers' knowledge). Mr Doormat (as I did not get his name; was quick to offer me a discount as from March, on the condition I add household insurance to my policy.
I AM NOT LOOKING FOR HOUSEHOLD COVER - I EXPECT A REFUND OF THIS INFLATED PREMIUM: I HAVE NOT EVEN HAD INSURANCE WITH YOU FOR 1 YEAR!
Upon asking Mr Doormat what the function of the broker in the middle is, he had NO REPLY! Are the brokers not supposed to be the ones in contact with their clients? Mr Doormat passed the buck to Quicksure, but THEY, AS BROKERS SHOULD HAVE BEEN AWARE OF INCREASE!
I am NOT impressed by the fact that B-SURE AFRICA are allowed to debit the accounts of their clients as they wish. They did NOT have my authorization and therefore I demand to have the difference refunded to me immediately
