Ridiculous fees on Credit card

I am shocked at the mess African Bank talked me into!! A credit card with a payment of R620 per month, where after that payment, you only have about R300 available! the other R300 goes to insurance, interest etc etc. I could only use about R350 from the card last month and this month there is R40 available. They tell me I was overspent already! How is this possible?? This is very shocking and I can't believe it is legal for companies to rob you like this! I am cancelling this card the first chance I get as this is totally unacceptable. No other banks charge this much!
