December 2012 I went to African Bank Eerste River to close my credit card. I was told to pay the balance of -R4500.00 at Standard Bank where their account was held. I drove to Standard bank Eerste river and paid the balance. Since then my Nedbank account still gets debited with R382.50 every month on which I has put a stop payment. Every month this debit order gets returned by Nedbank and then African Bank put a charge through my credit card for the return of the debit order. I think African Bank should check their records and refund me all the unpaid/finance charges starting from 1 January 2013. Why is it so difficult to close this accounts?
