Absa
R80 for Bank Statements

I recently went in to Absa to get some of my monthly bank statements which were required for tax purposes, and I was a little shocked to be charged R11 for a few pages of records, for which I am sure are already more than covered in bank fees, never the less, today I went to Absa as I needed to get statements for 2 additional months.
I was told that I would need to pay a total of R80 to get a copy of 2 months bank statements! As they were from the "archives". The lady proceeded to sit at the same computer and log into the same database to print out my statements. When I asked to speak to the manager the "acting manager" justified this excessive cost by saying "it's how the system works, and its because we have to access the archives" Not only is this a ridiculous price to pay for 4 pages, but Absa does not provide any other method of getting statements older than 3 months. I don't feel that I should be supporting a business with these kinds of inflated ideals. Below is a link I'm going to use to save a lot of money, maybe you can use it too.
