My account with nedbank went into overdraft (after I asked a Nedbank employee to close the account) I have subsequently been paying religiously R300-00 per month as agreed by a call centre agent of Nedbank. In the past I have had numerous threats via sms from Nedbank saying that the sheriff of the court will be attaching my property and legal action will be taken against me for late payments. This being usually after each time I had paid. I put in a complaint with Nedbanks complaint website and was contacted to say this arrangement was fine. After continuing to make my monthly payments I was contacted last week by a collection agency to be told I had been handed over for non payment (Apparently I have never paid) I have apparently also in 2007 taken out a loan for R9000 with peoples bank, which is now being handled by Nedbank. I have never been into a peoples bank let alone taken a loan from them. I have on five different occasions faxed through an affidavit as well as signature samples to the relevant people. To date no-one has seen this Fax, and no-one can show me opening documents for this apparent loan. I would like to know how to deal with this.
