I hve been trying to get Standard Bank to sort out my problem for a year nw! At the end of Aug 2012 I made a deposit of R1100 into my Mastercard acc. In Sept 2012 I received an sms informing me that I had not paid my account. After contacting them, I was told to fax the payment confirmation as my account number had changed & the money had probably gone into a suspense account. I was not informed of any change to my account number & I had just made the usual transfer from my Nedbank account. I received no feedback after sending the payment confirmation so decided to personally go into the bank hoping to get better service. To date, I have been to Standard Bank five times (four times at Kenilworth Centre Branch and once at Cape Gate Branch). On all five occasions the branches emailed instructions to Card Division & I was promised that the problem would be sorted out. On my last visit to Kenilworth Centre I pleaded with thm just to communicate with me as to any solution or just the way forward. If the refund was made & I somehow missed it, I asked thm just to communicate tht to me. To date, I hve nt had a single call from them. a year has passed & I have no idea wht happened to my money!
