No Settlement Discount on overdue accounts

I ve been unemployed for quite a while, which resulted me to be listed on ITC as non payers. No that Im trying to restore my credit rating. What quite surprised me is that all the banks, ABSA, Standard Bank and FNB that I had credit cards with, gave me a 30 - 60% settlement discount, its just Nedbank, and I owed them twice as much as I owed Nedbank.

The call centre person that I spoke to cant even give me a detailed statement on my account.
