Traders Trophy sponsored by Nedbank Capital

Last year I participated in the Traders Trophy sponsored by Nedbank Capital. I was the runner up in the competition. As the winners of first and second places we were promised a trip to Amsterdam valued at R100 000, 00 to participate in the Gobal final.

I now appears that the global final for 2013 will not be taking place as promised as I was informed that it was not feasible. It seems to me that this whole competition was badly organized and without substance and that the sponsors are unable to follow through on their commitment regarding the prizes.

On the 14 August 2013 I contacted Mr J. Naidoo at Nedbank Capital and requested him to explain why the prize was not allocated. He said that Nedbank Capital would send me a formal reply. I am still waiting for this formal response. The way that the sponsors and the organizers has acted in this matter leaves much to be desired. I've waited 14 months for the details regarding the final in Amsterdam.

Consequently, based on this experience I cannot encourage anyone to participate in trading competitions sponsored by Nedbank Capital. If the sponsors are unable to deliver what was promised they should not organize such competitions.
