Bad service

I opened my credit card with absa with all my rica paperwork at one time later i tride to withdraw money i could not when i went in to the bank they told me that i must rica that confused me because how did i open my account in the first place. Then when i went with my paperwork later on they told me that it was outdated. My problem is that at no stage did ABSA phone sms or email me tht i have to rica or thy gona suspend my account so when i need my money urgently i could not access it
