FNB shamelessly rips off their own customers by coaxing them to buy electricity through their online system with the promise of 15% back in eBucks. Being a loyal FNB client, I sadly also fell victim to their promising advertising and bought electricity on the FNB website, only to discover that I got about 18% LESS ELECTRICITY than I normally get from my usual provider for the same amount (R500). This is 62 units (about 3 days' usage) less, and basically means that FNB charges 31c more per unit electricity than other providers. I wonder if Steve knows this... at least now Peter does!
