Payment Holidays on Credit Card

I received an sms on the 9th of Oct 2013 from ABSA stating that they have applied for an payment holiday on my credit card for the month of October. This means I do not have to pay my minimum monthly instalment for the month of October (Skipping a month).
The 8th of October (day before) I was debited R510 and credited R510. You are even again, so you think.
They are keeping you in arrears for an extra month meaning you are charged an extra months interest.
Why is ABSA being so scaly? Why is ABSA doing transactions on my account without my permission?
