Disappointed on how the bank returns my loyalty

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment at FNB's response to a bond application lodged over the last two weeks, and to request a review of my application.

I have been a customer of FNB for 9 years, since I started earning a monthly salary, and during this time I have always run my accounts within agreed limits. I have run my main monthly cheque account in credit, never once overdrawn, until a year ago, when I applied for my first overdraft. My household account is also kept in credit, without any overdraft.

I am now at a stage in life when I want to buy my first house, after having got married last year, and was expecting some sort of recognition of my loyalty and the running of my accounts (cheque and household / savings) in proper order when I applied for a bond with yourselves. My husband's and my joint income is R1.8m per annum, and we are looking to borrow a sum of R1.5m, against the house we are currently renting and looking to purchase at a price of R1.55m.

The bond application was lodged through Betterbond, who as a matter of course lodged the application with all 4 main banks. The branch manager advised us that, given my history with FNB, I could expect
