I was lured into a discovery card with the promise of certain benefits. These were good despite the already heafty fee on the card. First you cut the gym cash-back benefit. Half the reason for the card, gone.

Well at least the extra points I get buying groceries kind-of made the card worth it. Not anymore! The fine print at the bottom of a newsletter says now in order to qualify for that benefit I have to sign up for your miles program at an additonal heafty fee of R320 a year! Not only that, but now only 30% of the bill gets the extra points! I had been looking into your insurance because the cash-back on petrol "seemed" like a good deal. Not a chance now! Once I go to all the schlep of changing all my insurance over, jump though all your hoops, you may just up and decide to pull that benefit to.

I'm not saying that somewhere in your water tight terms and conditions you don't have the right to change stuff but for good business practice and to instill good faith and loyalty in your customers, have a little sense and respect! I will be closing my card at the end of this year. It is no longer useful. If it wasn't such a huge pain in the I would change my health insurance to!
