Interest charged on arrearsaccount

I had defaulted on payment and due to my financial situation was unable to make payment for quite some time. Discovery Card did not make contact with me for nearly two years, and when they did it was via their Attorneys. I now have made an arrangement with Hammond Pole Attorneys (a payment arrangement that i can not really afford, however i was threatened into it) to pay off my account. I have requested statements on numerous occasions only to receive a statement from Hammond Pole with their own interest charged on it. I have requested a statement from inception of my account to date so that FNB / Dicsovery Credit Card / Hammond Pole can advise why i have been charged over 400% worth of interest on my account. I have also asked Hammond Pole to advise if it is legal to charge so much interest because as it stands i will not be able to ever pay the account off as interest is charged monthly and the interest amount is more than my payment amount. I would like to make a payment arrangement however i require legal assistance so that i pay off a fair amount. I acknowledge my debt, however i don't feel the interest charged over the last couple of years are not justifiable.
