The Unlimited
'Sorry that you wasted my time'

Business & Finance

On 18 Sep received a friendly call from Michelle to sell a Auto Surgeon policy to me. She asked me a myriad of questions that I needed to agree with her on and which I did. Then continued and took my details and gave me a policy number and confirmed that a debit order will be going off my account by 25 Sept. At this point I asked her if I could wait for the policy information before I committed and told her that she had never asked me if I actually wanted to take out the policy. She informed me that the pack was a 'welcome pack' and not an 'information pack' and did not understand that I didn't understand that welcome means I have already accepted. I confirmed with her that I make no decisions over the phone and need information first - before accepting the policy. She asked if I could tell her what she did not explain to me - and again I said that she had explained it well but I would like info first. (Besides how would I know if there was something she didn't explain to me if I didn't have info to work from) I then apologised and said that I was not interested in the policy if I could not get info first. She ended the call by telling me that she was sorry that I wasted her time.
