I accepted a home loan from Standard Bank. They appointed registering attorneys. I requested for attorneys that are closer to my current residence. This request was done on 10 Sept. I had to keep on phoning to ask on the progress. Promises to phone me back about the status were made on various occasions and they were not met. This morning the consultant told me that the system does not show any updates and that the bond's status was closed. I did not ask for the bond to be closed and now it will take a further 3 days to request for the bond to be opened again.
I am extremely dissapointed with the service that I have received from Standard Bank. If I was not buying a Standard Bank repossessed property I would simply have gone elsewhere.
