I phoned on 11 Sept to get a quote for insurance for 2 different vehicles, a Hyundai I20 1.4 CDRi Glide and a VW Polo 1.6 TDI Comfortline. I decided to go with the polo as the quotes were not a lot more than for the Hyundai. The quotes were R745.15 with R3800 excess and R786.95 with R1800 excess. I phoned on Friday, 13 Sept to activate the quote, just to be advised that the premium will now be over a R1000 as they had the "wrong" car on the system.
I asked for the call - as there is no way in I will say the word "sedan"... Now they come with the excuse that mine is a 5 door not a 4 door - well - my car definitely has 4 doors... If your underwriting was wrong - YOU need to take responsibility.
I want my car covered at the premium quoted with the R1800 excess.
Miss S Moodley phoned me yesterday and assured that I will receive an e-mail with the call plus an e-mail to contact her if no call was received. I received nothing!
Since Friday I have made numerous calls and I have still not had any satisfactory information or feedback.
