Bad feedback and service

I applied for a consolidation loan at Mega loans. The company took a month to give me feedback on my application. After which they told me that I couldn't get the loan because there's less than thirty (30) employees working with me at the company. Why not just tell me that from the start? They are well aware of the number of employees at the company.
