I applied for a loan which was approved last year OCT 2012. My last installment was due in Sep. I called FNB on 30 July asked for a settlement letter which was emailed to me on the same day. As usual my debit for July went off on 28.07 and on 01.08 I paid the settlement which was R1500 via FNB deposit machines in Commisioner street JHB. I had the seetlement letter with me and I went into the branch at Commisioner which by the way is a loan centre. I asked a consultant by the name of Zandi to fax the letter for me and she did. On 13.08 I received an sms stating that I paid R1500 into FNB account and to me that was confirmation enough that my account was settled. On 28 Aug, I called FNB and to my surprise the account was still open, I spoke to the fist consultant who by the way wanted me to have proof of payment, which I ddnt have because in my understanding the loan was settled. I called again and spoke to another consultant who said she will put a stop on my account to ensure that my money is not debited. But on 29.08 R285 was deducted from my account. To this day I am wating for my money as per last communication with FNB. I AM NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER FNB!!!
