I have applied for debt review in March 2010 through Debtbusters. I have 7 accounts listed and paid every month for money to be distributed to these accounts. I have started settling all of them since May 2013. After paying all of them, or so I thought, I have asked for a clearance certificate. They replied saying that I still have a Woolworths account outstanding. I checked back on my records and noticed that Debtbusters never distributed any money to WW. The last payment they received was in February 2010. I haven't received any notification of this either from Debtbusters or Consumer Friend (WW) for the past 3 years. Consumer friend said that they have received a proposal from Debtbusters only in November 2011 but without any proof and Debtbusters doesn't have any proof of any proposal sent to consumer friend. Which leaves me know with almost R 4000 in interest and legal costs that I have to pay extra as well as my own legal costs for advise on this matter. This is totally unacceptable and Debtbusters just say that they don't have any proof and I have to pay consumer friend. Why did they never distribute money to WW if they were stipulated on my application?
