Wesbank
Wesbank finances written off vehicles as used cars

Business & Finance

I purchased a used vehicle, a Tata Indica 1.4 Lsi from Signature Motors in Boksburg which had 12 000km on the clock. This car was financed by Wesbank. It came to my attention, when I took the vehicle for its 15 000km service, that my car was not under warranty or under the service plan any longer as it was written off in an accident. I approached Wesbank (within the 3 month cool-off period) to inform them that this vehicle was unsafe and a rebuild and I wanted the deal cancelled immediately. I was referred to Simon Mdau, Wesbank's East Rand Area Manager, who then passed the can onto Signature Motor's 'Wilfred' (Dealer Principal) who, as of last year March, has not contacted me. Today, I nearly died on the R21 to Pretoria as a part of the right fender flew off (I was doing 120 kmph), and the plastic cover inside the wheel well collapsed onto the tyre. Had the bolts not sheared off the platisc cover, this would have caught in the wheel, caused the car to enter a right spin and would have made it flip. This car is a death trap, and I'm tired of being ignored. Wesbank, fix this before someone dies.
