Empty Promises to Close the Deal

I took out car incurance with First Form woman in November 2012 and was told that if i refer a friend and that person takes out insurance with them, I will be paid R500

Today my friend had to take out car insurance and i convinced her to phone First For Woman to get a quote. She accepted the quote and took out the insurance with them.

She then asked the consultant (Peter) if she can give the person's name to the who refered her to get the referal reward, he told her that the use to have a program like that where they would pay for referals but seeing that they had issues with it they dont do it anymore. He also went on to tel her that if they've sorted out the problem they will look into it.

it's like a carot that they dangle in front of your nose to take out the insurance with them, but once it comes to the point of keeping their side of the bargin they have this long story. Makes me wonder what else they told me that is not the truth.

I feel this is a DISHONEST way of doing buisiness. I feel to and I am considdering to start shopping around for new insurance.
