Bank not assisting

The bank has been deducting close to R400.00 from my account, When i made a call to enquire about this, i was told that the charges are transaction charges, what kind of transaction charges amount to R400 rand on a cheque account specially that am on the poteniate package, i have been emailing back and fourth hoping someone would assists or explain this, and all i ever receive is sms's from the bank saying we received your complaint someone will call you shortly and am still waiting".
