Supporting documents not taken into account! URGENT

I used carfin to do a private finance deal where I (private) finance a caravan purchase from a private seller. the whole process went smooth until it was picked up that the van had been reregistered. The supporting documents in this case shows that the police made a mistake where they scrapped the wrong vin number. thus the van was never and recovered but the vin nr was scrapped. in order to reregister the vehicle a new vin nr had to created. the new vin nr is an AAPV number which shows and recover, they cannot issue a new AAJ nr as its not a new vehicle. the owner went through the whole process and incurred a lot of costs for the mistake the police made. I was informed by MFC as long as the Natis (RC1) document shows used I can continue. I had to register the van in my name (costs) to get the new RC1 document, which is showing used. so everything was suppose to be fine. Only on 99% of completion of the deal where the contract was requested I was informed that the AAPV nr cant be financed as its and recovered. We have supplied all the supporting documentation to show that is not the case. Now I have spent all the money and still cant finance. URGENT!
