Life cover cancelled

This morning I got an sms that says due to non payment on my premium my policy will be cancelled. My understanding from the contract that I have with them is that If a payment is not received within 30 days of the normal deduction date, your cover will be suspended
immediately but I only skipped one month of july so its not yet 30 days. My normal debit date is the 25th of every month so I missed July.
so they are telling me that I must reapply again so I'm saying I had this policy for 5 yrs and there is no way I'm going to reapply or since they have breached the contract they must refund me every penny that I paid because I not gonna just let my money be taken away like that.
