AT NEDBANK YOU'RE JUST A NUMBER

Have had a bond with Nedbank since 1998 in our PERSONAL capacity. Went last week to apply for a small amount from our bond. Gave them our docs. Now they want my husband's financials & business bank statements cos he's self-employed. He has been since 1998 and we've NEVER missed a payment in 15yrs people??!!! The bond is in a PERSONAL capacity and is NOT paid from a business account. Not to mention that our home is now worth 4x the original bond amount! Does that not count for something?! But "rules are rules' we're told. The fact that we've been a good customer for 15yrs clearly means nothing and we are clearly just a number. We have successfully applied for finance for various cars and other accounts with various financial institutions over the years. A credit check will verify that. Cases are obviously not judged on their merit. No wonder Nedbank is rated last of the "big-4" financial institutions and they've lost market share! I've already told someone who was thinking of changing their bond to Nedbank NOT to do it, and I've told work colleagues and friends of our experience. I'll be surprised if we get more than the standard response to this complaint... we're investigating it
