Handed over for a paid account

Hi was unemployed for a short period in 2009, we made arrangements for debt review and paid accordingly every month. In October 2010 ABSA made us an offer to write off half of our debt if we settled with in 7 working days, I borrowed money from work and settled the credit card immediately. I asked for a letter of confirmation of payment which I received. Now almost 3 years later I receive a registered letter stating that this account has not been paid and I have been blacklisted. This is not the first incident we had with ABSA, they are absolutely USELESS!!! I am defiantly reporting this to the Ombudsman for banks.
