Ond application decline

I have bEen applying for the bond for the past 12months and its been declining. Only now I found out its bcause of FNB loan of R12 200 that I did not pay. I paid fnb full amount and have proof I paid the account but don't know where this amount comes from.
I am very sad and upset with FNB, my mistake was to get a loan in 2007 and it's a now a night mere. I cannot get a house now due to this. My biggest concern when I phone ITC they told me if FNB update it, it will still stay on my records for 3 years. Where will I be staying waiting for that 3 years.
I need help please.
