Angry client - never informed of balance owing

I received a email from my Hr department today stating that a garnishee order of R965.22 be taken from my salary. I was very suprised as i thought my account was settled with Bayport, when i asked mpho who emailed the statement to me why i still owe money this was his reply: With regards to the balance the account interest rate is 34.30% . and overall the account was last paid on the 15/12/2013 balance then was 9802.14 so that means the interest has accumulated up to the current balance 11 969.99.
I am so angry, i was never informed of balances left and the debit order stopped on my salary on the 15/12/2013, why did they stop it if there was still money owing
this is a money making and i'm not goin to pay any interest back to this company only the money i owe i was never informed of anything
