I made a request on an existing home loan with FNB. To start with, the guy I dealt with at the Church Square branch, didn't really show any interest, I had to offer for all documents, asking if they will be required or not.

An hour later, I was contacted by someone to verify my income. A day later, I got an email, confirming that an application will be completed in 7-14 working days, that was around June 10 2013. I did about 3 follow ups, and was promised this will still be completed within the said turn around time.

I called in again yesterday, the lady who answered the phone couldn't tell me progress on my application, or the responsible manger, saying they just email, thats it. Today I receive an email saying the application is with the credit department, which I still find unsatisfactory.

YOU Asked, "How can we help you", I say, keep your promises, get someone look at my application, as it seems to be idling. When I made a first follow up, I was told someone didnt attach documents. Help me hiring people who do their work diligently. NOT impressed anymore, thinking of taking my mortgage else where.
