I was recently resumed service with First For Women insurance as I am employed again, there was a problem with my salary dates and have advised the Call Centre agent on the 24th of May and was advised to call for both my insurance policies by the 15th of June to provide new debit order dates and the policy will then only be effected. To my surprise they have now debited my account with R2013.18 and yet when I took the policy, I was informed there will be no initiation fee nor will there be any admin fees as this will be waivered, to my horror I have been charged. Upon requesting cancellation of my insurance today, they have advised that they will need to listen to the call and ascertain whether I will get paid back my money or not yet the policy should have only be effected from the 1st of July so in essences I am paying for absolutely nothing. I am extremely infuriated that my funds can just be this way and demand a re-imbursement. Insurance companies are ever so ready to take our money yet to give us back our own money they take forever. If this does not get resolved soon I will take this to the Consumer Protection Act. I have 2 policies.
