FNB - Good adverts... service!!!

My husband opened an FNB cheque account at the end of 29th Nov 2012, he received his card within a week... cool. We came through on the 3rd Jan 2013 to the Melrose Arch branch to get everything setup and activated, we requested that they switch his debit orders and filled in all the forms and was told that it will take 3-5 days and somebody from the switching department will phone him.

Phoned the call centre to find out what is the progress and got told by Marzen that my husband will have to phone, why does he need to phone you? We are the client.

Well, here we are 2 weeks later and not a single debit order has been switched, do you think I like paying fees for two banks??? Just seems to me that you are putting all your effort in to advertisements and no effort into customer service. If this is what it is going to be like with FNB, we might just stay with ABSA...
