Good day,

I applied for a home loan, I used Ooba, I received positive feedback from FNB, whom I bank with and have banked with for many years, until FNB sent out a valuer; the valuer evaluated the property and decided that, in his infinite wisdom, he would then undervalue the house as the area was considered adverse and citing low marketability, even though a similar house in the same road, just a few houses away, was sold on 17/01/2013 for R950 000 and the property I am interested in purchasing is R770 000. None of it makes sense and FNB refuses to divulge the information requested, mainly the figure they believe the property is worth.

This is pathetic service and I will be moving my business to a better financial institution that will treat me as a valued customer and not just another number.
