I have been receiving these SMS's on a number that I have never even used. (Its my internet contract number):

13/04/05 13:00: Your Nedbank Nedbank Credit Card account WILL be HANDED OVER for LEGAL ACTION to ERASMUS ATTORNEY Contact us URGENTLY on 0861 127 327 with ref CCHB0095

13/04/17 11:22: Your Nedbank Nedbank Credit Card account has been handed over to Nedbank LEGAL Recoveries. Contact 0861 126 326 to AVOID LEGAL ACTION. ref CCHB0095

That's all well and good, and by golly, I should be reprimanded for not paying my freaking credit card... however... I have never dealt with Nedbank in my life. I went into the bank to get change once, but I definitely do not have an account, much less a credit card from them. Now my wife is freaking out because "I opened a credit card" and didn't tell her, now we going to face legal action... not cool guys. I feel even more sorry for the poor shmuck who they ARE referring to, because they didn't even bother to just try and phone him.
