No cash given altough acc wash deducted

We draw money at an standard bank ATM in vereeniging on Monday 6May 2013. After the ATM gave back my wife's card it started counting the notes (the sound a ATM makes just a before it hands you the cash) and then just hanged on please wait while we are processing your request.. I phone the card division who spoke to the ATM division and they then reset the ATM. They also assured me the funds will be available back in my wife's account at the same time. We were stuck with no cash and our daily limit was drawn. I then phoned the next day and they informed me that the funds will be reversed within 24 hours of which would have been Wednesday. That also did not happen. 3 days has now passed and my wife even had to go into the bank, just to fill in a form. I could understand if it was an different card used at a standard bank account, but it is not. Standard bank card at a standard bank ATM and the ATM is even situated at a standard bank branch. What if we really needed the cash already? Why should we wait 3 days going on 4 because of your faulty teller? Why place us under stress for funds we know we did not receive? What if this was our only funds available?
