First National Bank
Charges raised on account!

Business & Finance

My subscription to Bankmed was suspended for a 3 year period and unbeknown to me Bankmed raised a Magtape debit order for R4167-00 on 28/3/13 which caused my a/c to be in excess of my overdraft. At no time did Bankmed advise me that they would be deducting a 3 month membership fee in one amount! I was charged the following charges as a result of this happening:-
28/3/13 R8-00 Service Fee on MagTape
30/3/13 R95-00 excess fee
20/4/13 R21-18 Interest on o/d
20/4/13 R28-50 Monthly o/d fee
---
TOTAL R152-68
I was immediately in touch with the branch regarding this and the reversal of the Magtape as when my FNB Pension came in on the 16th April it was off-set with the overdarft leaving me with only a couple of hundred rands. The branch has advised that the fees cannot be reversed as a result of this unauthorised debit order being processed and that I should look to Bankmed for a refund!
Being a Staff pensioner I would appreciate your help in the refunding of these fees.
